Well, it wasn't Lala.

Hormones googled.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I told myself (and my friends), a Japanese chick flick won't hurt.

Sure.

That was until the movie started. It wasn't half-close to Japanese. My left hand covered my left eye and my right hand did the same.

"Psst! It's a Thai film!"

Oh-oh. Rated U some more. Sure anot??

Well, I was proven wrong as a doubting Thomas. I actually won't mind watching Hormones again! This is getting ridiculously cheesy, I know.

Hormones adapts the Love Actually concept. If unfamiliar, imagine the Enid Blyton concept. "Hormones and other stories".

Well no. Not really. This movie is divided into 4 sagas where characters of different sagas don't actually know each other.

ONE: Two boys who find pleasure competing for the same girl's hand phone number.

TWO: One girl who is the overly-obsessed fan of Taiwanese pop singer.

THREE: A young man who has thoughts of lust after his girlfriend leaves for a summer break.

FOUR: A geek who falls for his best friend, the school's most popular girl.

Ow.

"Ow":
1. An expression of pain, with an exclamation point behind the word. I.e.: Ow!
2. A family name.

You did not get that from Wiki. XD.

I had so many funny moments hanging out with Joanna Ow and Jared Ow. Where else but The Curve and Ikano. ;)

It was my first day at Daiso where everything sells at RM5. Nothing priced less, nothing priced more. And they played this music - I assume it's called "Boy Meets Girl" (and I was right since I found it on YouTube. Yeah I actually found it!).

Imagine listening to this Japanese song four times in a row! Had no idea why the owner refused to switch songs. Even an elderly man was singing to the chorus of "Boy Meets Girl". So funny la.

This year's Christmas shopping was pretty fun!

Signing off,

You'd know you're supposed to walk to the escalator instead of using the lift when the lift reads "Pigs going down!". Ahahahhahaha. (Excuse me for being lame lol.)

Finally An Update. A "Chim" One.

11th-14th December.
XYZ Encounter Camp 2008.
Served at an National Service campsite at Raub, Pahang.
(No joke.)

My camp tag and camp booklet posing for you.

NS has never looked this good, eh?

Aside from the yellowish water, it's not bad ler. ;)

Before I show you more pictures, let me thank Chian Hui! Girl, your bubbly spirit stays on. Thank you for taking all the pictures and I hope you don't mind me posting them up.
Credits of pictures all goes to Ms. Jasmine Lee Chian Hui! - who by the way just turned 18 in less than a month.

The girls of C1/C2.
Yours truly, Chian Hui, Petra, Christina and Sarah!

The Programmes people who couldn't stop thanking God for great weather!
Chian Hui, me, Petra, Robin (he rarely smiles on pictures XD), Tai Chi Kong!

Part I of the Shave-off-the-Shaving-Cream-from-my-balloon Game.

Part II says it all.

Rachael being goofy as always. She's someone I look up to, holiness-wise. Though the picture kinda prooves otherwise lol.
And seriously, I wasn't posing in that picture. I was unprepared. XD

Victor wants to have his own t-shirt with his shadow imprinted on it. Funny fellow!
And he nicknamed me Joo Joo. Sorry Joo Li! XD

The T-Shirt signifies a lot of possibilities. Notice that there's a hand-phone number there? Lol.
Robin still didn't smile.

Perd Hung or Perrdy, Serene (Babiwati no. 1 - my dorm mate, hahhaha), Christina or Nana, and Kenn Quan who named himself Dwayne.
Love the picture!

Chian Hui and a new friend I got to know, Michelle. =D

Chian Hui, smiling Robin, Kay Lee the dancing queen!
(with Christina in the background).

Kayak.

I'd trade nothing than to hear God speak to me.

I didn't know that... unless I was myself, I cannot ever encounter God.

I didn't know that... God wants me to be His friend, more than me being His servant!

I didn't know that... my fear managed to stopped me from living out an exciting Christian life.

I didn't know that... I was trying to look for God in only the obvious places all these while. A super good and "chim" example: "God, why can't I be in that girl's position talking to him???"

Like Mathew, I was kicked right where it hurt.

But God is taking me to the journey of healing, already! Amen.

Signing off,
We can walk together forever like this Lord, until the end of the road brings me to You. :)

Someday We'll Know

Version: Mandy Moore and Jonathan Foreman (Switchfoot)

90 miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving, I don't know why
So many questions, I need an answer
Two years later, you're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Emelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Oh

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain

Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue

Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you

Does anybody know the way to Atlantis?
Or what the wind says when she cries?
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time
Tonight

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain

Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue

Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you

Yeah-

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah

One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon

Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crashed in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
"Why aren't you here with me?"
Tonight

Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain

Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue

Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you

Yeah-

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah

One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon

Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

Signing off,
Someday I'll know what I should have written underneath here.

There's Something Called U-Turn

I stopped work 48 hours ago.

Even though the pay is really good.

But I have no regrets!

I really wanted to give more of my attention to the planning of Encounter Camp. I'm putting my best into it, so are other people, but all in all our faith is in God that He will make this camp alive to every camper! ;)

THE FUUNNY THING THAT HAD TO HAPPEN TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS MY LAST DAY:

So anyway it was my last day of work and I had the privilege of being fetched by Joanna. She calls herself the dangerous driver because my mum constantly tells me to stick to 50km/hr on the roads.

It's not a bad thing, though. For both facts before and after "because".

So anyway after we parked at the opposite parking lot (Plaza Glomac), walking across to our workplace building was the only option.

But we were not familiar with the road and stairway system on how to get to the other side of the road.

So, being young, we explored our adventurous sides (PS: I didn't know Joanna was so daring! I'll tell you that later).

We walk and we walk until we see an open space.

There was a fountain there, too.

Now that I thought about it, it looks like a scene from Enchanted, right? The animated part in the beginning one.

Turning left, we saw a stair and above it, was the open air daylight and we saw Wisma Good Year (I don't have lots of pictures to show you because... well, I didn't think I would be getting lost haha).

Both of us squealed in delight.

Instead of a happy ending, we got a cacat ending once we were at the end of the bridge.

Joanna: Aiyah, just jump across lah. It's almost 9am.

Jue Lyn
(looks down at the gap - there's a deep longkang hidden in between): E.r.r.

And I forgotten to tell you I was wearing khakis while Joanna, that girl was in her clean white pants!

She must be reading too much of Twilight. XD.

But like Princess Giselle, we were taken into reality's arms. "Let's go find another route."

Still, we finally found a way back to the Wisma - in one piece respectively.

THE FUUNNY PEOPLE I GET TO WORK WITH:

Dionne and Nicole.

I don't have to describe much about their personalities to you. You can guess right? Hehehe.

You two spiced up the office work. And meals with lots of sandwiches too! =D

Their friend, Warren.

He usually looks better but he's too busy hiding his guilt here. He was the one who prank called you, Su Faye! XD.

And the three of them are not even 17 yet.

Not forgetting Reis and Rich and CY! Don't have your pictures here but I've had a blast working with you =D

Ms. Joanna Ow Joo May!

Had a great experience working with you. Learnt a lot from you too. "It's always easier to blend in than to stand out". Yet, you were able to live the opposite. I'm encouraged. Hope I get the chance to know you even better in the days to come!

Signing off,
I want to be different in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12).

Don't Touch the Monkeys

If you don't laugh after watching this video, I'll pay you RM1.oo hahaha. (Not enough money to pay eh).

Just heard of Flight of the Conchords (of New Zealand) through a mutual friend.

This duo make such a good laugh. Even if they were just to sit there without doing anything, they'd still hurt my stomach.

The way they paint real life issues - through humor - can't get any better. Of course, action still speak louder than words or lyrics. Hope you're inspired in some kind of way ;)

And...

--> I miss my college mates. Especially those who I haven't seen in months. =(

--> I haven't watch Twilight yet. This is wonderful. Those who haven't read the book also watched already la. =.=

Signing off,

"Girls are like phones. We love to be held, talked too, but if you press the wrong button you'll be disconnected!" - I know, I have different mood at different sentences. XD
