Spiritual awakening
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Yes, God is love. But He is not only love, He is holy.
Many people question if there's such a loving God, why are there present sufferings?
Charles Templeton, was an evangelist and a close friend of Billy Graham was a spiritual giant who was predicted to succeed Graham. But he failed to see God as a holy God. His faith fell through the rocks when he saw a photograph of a North African woman carrying her dead baby, looking up towards heaven, hoping for rain.
"Why couldn't this God of love send her rain? All she needed was rain!" Templeton questioned with frustration.
God is love, but don't put a full stop to it. He is holy, too.

When advertisements start making sense
I was browsing through some Internet applications and I saw an advertisement saying, "Soy proteins make you fat and increase your belly fat"!
Before you read any further, you should know that I love soy products. Tofu is an addiction, unfortunately for me. =(
But I do love tofu lah, not forced to like it or something.
Mr. Mike Geary, a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist says that many people are deceived and misled into believing soy protein, soy milk, soybean oil, and processed soy foods are "healthy"... when the truth is that soy has many anti-nutrients and negative factors on the body that we should be concerned about - like increasing your stomach fat.
Ouch. Now I know why...
Romans 14:20
Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
Food for thought, literally!

Easter
A 33 year-old man was nailed to death on Good Friday.
The reason behind the nailing was very simple, people called him a liar. A very very big liar.
But the thing was, he didn't lie.
All he did was telling people about the greatest news ever, but people doubted him because they thought it was too good to be true. They decided they didn't want to hear all the nonsense anymore and called him a joke, sending him to be nailed to death.
This man who willingly laid down his life as a sacrifice for many was Jesus, and although he died, he rose again 3 days later. He certainly wasn't joking when he said that "I am the Son of God. I am the way, the truth, and the life."

Jesus is still alive till this day. The empty tomb is there to prove my Savior lives.
1 Corinthians 15:17
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.
He died on the cross for the wrongdoings of every single person. I live to take up my cross.

Signing off,
Rev David Pawson said that the Bible is like a romance-genre book, from the beginning till the end, it's about a bride getting ready for her marriage, and finally meeting the bridegroom. Never occurred to me like that before..
Blessed Easter ppl! ;)

Ever had a pain in the midst of somewhere you can't be excused?
If nonpainful nerve impulses get there first, pain is dulled.
Vice versa.
But does that mean that testimonies of "God healing my tummy ache (and headache and dot dot dot) when I pray" are actually nothing at all?
Wait wait, that's like imagining missing the point.
The point is, my body was created by Someone, who was an absolute genius.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

I say, girls will be girls.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.
Yesterday's dinner and the-after-talk was definitely the start of something new besides ahem..!
1. Su Faye is joining Ushering.
God spoke to you somemore. Amen amen! (Finally can rest, don't have to ask already! Lol.)
2. Wen Yi is attending university soon.
Her mom tells her, "university is where you'd meet your soul mate". Your mom cracks me up.
3. Chian Hui is trusting God to lead her path.
Girl, I'm super encouraged to hear your story and I know this one thing, God will bless you.
4. Jue Lyn is ready to get on with life!
I'm thoroughly berbonded after yesterday night. Ditto the verse in green.
If only Tze-En and Chia Wen (and Michelle, our new member) was there to join the C1 girls' talk... I think the night couldn't have ended. :P

The Word
Loud and clear.
John 1:1-2; 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

There's Something Called U-Turn
Even though the pay is really good.
But I have no regrets!
I really wanted to give more of my attention to the planning of Encounter Camp. I'm putting my best into it, so are other people, but all in all our faith is in God that He will make this camp alive to every camper! ;)
THE FUUNNY THING THAT HAD TO HAPPEN TO ME BECAUSE IT WAS MY LAST DAY:
So anyway it was my last day of work and I had the privilege of being fetched by Joanna. She calls herself the dangerous driver because my mum constantly tells me to stick to 50km/hr on the roads.
It's not a bad thing, though. For both facts before and after "because".
So anyway after we parked at the opposite parking lot (Plaza Glomac), walking across to our workplace building was the only option.
But we were not familiar with the road and stairway system on how to get to the other side of the road.
So, being young, we explored our adventurous sides (PS: I didn't know Joanna was so daring! I'll tell you that later).
We walk and we walk until we see an open space.
There was a fountain there, too.
Now that I thought about it, it looks like a scene from Enchanted, right? The animated part in the beginning one.
Turning left, we saw a stair and above it, was the open air daylight and we saw Wisma Good Year (I don't have lots of pictures to show you because... well, I didn't think I would be getting lost haha).
Both of us squealed in delight.
Instead of a happy ending, we got a cacat ending once we were at the end of the bridge.
Jue Lyn (looks down at the gap - there's a deep longkang hidden in between): E.r.r.
She must be reading too much of Twilight. XD.
But like Princess Giselle, we were taken into reality's arms. "Let's go find another route."
THE FUUNNY PEOPLE I GET TO WORK WITH:
I don't have to describe much about their personalities to you. You can guess right? Hehehe.
You two spiced up the office work. And meals with lots of sandwiches too! =D
He usually looks better but he's too busy hiding his guilt here. He was the one who prank called you, Su Faye! XD.
And the three of them are not even 17 yet.
Not forgetting Reis and Rich and CY! Don't have your pictures here but I've had a blast working with you =D

Had a great experience working with you. Learnt a lot from you too. "It's always easier to blend in than to stand out". Yet, you were able to live the opposite. I'm encouraged. Hope I get the chance to know you even better in the days to come!

Sanity Happens
I'm having mixed emotions these few days. Wait, months. Or maybe even years. It's swinging up and down. Urgh, hormones, let me put all the blame on you.
Still, God has been the same yesterday, today, and (will be) forevermore (Hebrews 12:8)! And my friends - these wonderful homo sapiens who take time to dig the best in me.
I saw a rainbow today.
I saw a lizard today, too.
The L-word was on my dad's car's side-view mirror. It couldn't fly away even though my dad was speeding at 120km/hr. That L-word made me felt sick when I saw its tail flipping all over the side-view mirror. Sumore it's the brown-brown kind. You know what I mean.
But the L-word wanted to survive - it could only hang on.
I feel like I need to learn from the L-word. To hang on. Even when life makes you look foolish (flipping tail) hanging on?
Yeah, I know.
Wai How: I might be going on Wednesday. See lah. =D
Wei Wei, who told me to sleepover at Pek Kuan's house: See lah. If she lets me. HAHAHA.
Pek Kuan: Can I sleepover at your place? LOL.
Siew Mei: Your fringe looks absolutely nice! I also want.
Wee Han: Thanks Gweeky for 2 hrs of your time. Can't thank you enough =D
Aisha: "Explain to me again why I need a boyfriend" cracks me up. XD
Joo Li and Iona: Your compliments on my necklace makes me feel feminine (sorta) LOL.
Ivan: I'm not sleeping over at Wai How's house. Accuse me! XD
Chia Yee: Your handphone's so cool!!!! I want the dictionary part only though. Hehe.
Chee Hong: You and your new hair. XD
You. Yes, you: Buy an Andy McDonough CD! Ask me how.

XES
Everyone who updated their blog recently had this keyword in their blog. Is that the theme of the week? Haha.
Ookay, probably not. But anyways, it's a "deep+interesting+normal, not taboo" subject to talk about, not do okay?? Lol.
Ms Joey's craziness spread to some classmates of ours, maybe?
For those of you who didn't attend Thursday's MAT120 class, here's a slight recap; the clean cut version of things.
Ms Joey Kong, our beloved Finite Maths teacher talked about how difficult it was for her to travel all the way from Taman Bukit Cheras (Kedai Runcit beside the Highway) to Klang during a slight break.
She said she 'lost' her quality time with her family. She even admitted that she slept earlier than her baby - when she was supposed to tap her child into sleep. Hahaha.
Okay, so imagine this teacher is talking about 'quality time with her family' with teenagers who have multitudes of hormones. Something was bound to happen.
Deepa asked Ms Joey (with loads of honesty here) : Miss, how about romance time?
Laughters filled the room.
Ms Joey : Pfft! Erm, we do it in the morning la!!
The whole class shooked with laughter, literally.
Mathew : Huh? Can ahh?? Where got syok??
Ms Joey : My husband anytime also syok wan.
Ookay, enough reading for those underaged - meaning you! I'm about to be complained, right?
Well, that was just a point I wanted to prove. Pre-marital sex is not an option if you wanna have the most romantic type of HRRMM.
Heard of No Apologies? I'm one of those real blessed people in Malaysia who actually sat through it. SMK Taman S.E.A. paid for it so that all of us studying in there could truly understand what it means to wait.
Everybody else besides you might have given in, but you don't have to ehh. It's not easy, I get... lol. But it's something that you'll never regret!
1 Timothy 5:22b
Keep yourself pure.
PS: Ms Joey is a great teacher, so don't sue her or anything kay? =)
PPS: My wisdom tooth hurts. I need to pull it out lar, I think. Yikes.

The Active Substance
Recently, God has also reminded me the very meaning of faith He intended it to be.
Pr. Dr. Philip Lyn, an enthusiastic pastor who preaches the Word of God, said this on the last night of Nights of Fire.
Faith is not hope.
Faith is "now!"; hope is our assurance, our future.
Faith is transferrable.
Faith is always rational, never irrational."
Staying active for the Lord with a whole lot of faith is the key.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The Busyness of Life
Looking at my list of things to do, I'm telling myself that I
Let's not forget about exams! Take out exams from education and there'll be nothing left (I assume). My Marketing lecturer scares me sometimes, he keeps his students guessing on what's coming out for the exam. If only my exams were as easy as this, then I won't have to post this post now.
(It's taken from a forwarded mail a few minutes ago, just in time for me to post lol.)

There is a time and season for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Learning from Mistakes
God knows me in and out and He reminded me of this a few times! One of it was a forwarded mail. Thank you Chia Wen, Andrew and Joanna (if you're reading this)! The matter's been put off for a while now, but I am really thankful to each of you from the bottom of my heart =) Your words taught me a lot, too...
And then God used another person, my friend (if not, sister) Wei-En... Thanks so much for the reminder =) I am so happy that God put you in my life! Like you said, "Friends forever!"
God would not close the case without showing me a verse or a passage from the Bible... and so He did this morning... It was taken from Genesis (the first book in the Bible where God creates the world) Chapter 11, The Tower of Babel. The interpretation for me here was that God wants me to learn from Him and to listen and depend on Him, not just on my own strength (verse 6)...
Thank you Lord Jesus for Your Words!
